Our Summer 2017 trip was inspired by a fellow campers post on Instagram. I saw the post of a wooded secluded campsite from a private RV park (which I find to be rare) and I knew we had to add it to the list. Neither Jim nor I had ever been to Door County so after a little research we booked our 5 night stay at Wagon Trail Campground.
The campground is located at the north eastern tip of Door County in Wisconsin. Door county is known for it’s quaint little towns and country feel. The location is a little out of the way from some of of the larger “must see” towns, however it’s a rather short drive to get to everything.
Wagon Trail Campground sites on 75 acres, most sites are spacious and wooded. We stayed at site #502, a premium site which was worth the money. Our site was HUGE, plenty of room for our RV, car and lots of space to spread out. The site was on an curve so there was no one directly next to us (a plus in my book). Premium sites offer 50 amp hookups with water. No direct sewer connection but they did offer a dump service.

Site #502
The grounds of the campground are beautifully landscaped. The staff is super nice. The campground is very dog friendly. You can bring your dogs in to the store for a treat. Ours took advantage of this multiple times a day! They were very spoiled from all the love they were receiving.

We spent the week exploring Door County. There are many State and County parks offering spectacular views of Lake Michigan and some great hiking trails. Wagon Trail Campground was a perfect location for us.
