Heading to Colorado to visit my sister and her husband (who live in Golden) we wanted to spend a few days up in the mountains. I’ve been to Colorado several times in the past mostly staying in Keystone but I’m always striving to explore new places. We managed to find a beautiful mountain home in Georgetown via VRBO. Georgetown is a former silver mining camp established in 1859. It sits high up in the Rocky Mountains at over 8500 ft. The home is accessible via a single lane narrow mountain road (watch out for other cars, no passing on this road!). The driveway to the house is on a deep pitch but the lovely three story home offers beautiful views of the City of Georgetown and the surrounding mountains.
